Efraín Zúñiga was born in Santiago de Cali (Colombia). He has studied in different institutions such as Advertising Drawing and Communication (Professional Drawing Academy), plastic arts (Popular Institute of Culture), psychology (Cooperative University of Colombia) and recently Degree in Plastic Arts Education (Universidad de Antioquia).

He was co-founder, academic director, and professor of drawing and painting at Amor y Arte Fundación from 2016 to 2018.
His work has been exhibited since 1998 nationally and internationally.

In 2013 he was invited to participate in the June salon in Machala Ecuador, where he obtained the first place. Currently, he lives and works with art galleries in the city of Bogotá and Medellín. His work is in private collections in Colombia, Mexico, the United States and China, as well as in the Luz Victoria Ribera de Mora Municipal Art and Culture Center in Machala, Ecuador and in the Beijing Art Museum of Imperial City (BAMOIC) in Beijing, China.
