Miguel Angel Nuñez was born in Maldonado, Oriental Republic of Uruguay, on December 21, 1966.
As a child he began his studies in the studio of the painter Manolo Lima.
From 1985 to 1994, with the teacher Carlos Tonelli, in the Municipal School of Plastic and Visual Arts of Maldonado, where in 1996 he joined as a teacher.
He studied History of Art with the teacher Miguel Battegazore.
From 2001 to 2004 he studied at the National Arts Workshop of the Ministry of Education and Culture, under the direction of Gustavo Alamón.

In 2008 and 2009 he attended, with a grant from the ARAUCO foundation at its headquarters in Madrid, to workshops for improvement in the field of painting dictated by the master Guillermo Muñoz Vera and in which he came into contact with various teachers, including Antonio López.
He participated as a Jury in different rooms and events at the departmental and regional level.
Since 2017 he has been based in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain.
