Joaquín Morales Molero - Just Fine Art

Drawing is the honesty of art. Ingres.

Joaquín Morales Molero was born in Valdepeñas, Ciudad Real, in 1964. From a very young age he dedicated himself to painting and drawing influenced by his mother Amparo Molero, also an artist and by great figures of the La Mancha figurative scene such as Manuel López Villaseñor, Francisco Vela Siller, Miguel Navarro, Antonio López Torres and Antonio López García, among others, whom he could meet in his childhood and youth.

Over the years, since 1988, he has specialized in drawing and its various techniques, trapped by the magic of black and white, with numerous exhibitions, both individual and collective, and collaborations either in public or private entities, such as the Sokoa Gallery and the Xeito Gallery in Madrid, Chagall in Mieres (Asturias) and the Goya Art Gallery in New York. In the latter, in 1995, he participated in the exhibition “The artistic nude. Work on paper by the best specialists ”.

His drawings have been present in the most prestigious competitions and exhibitions, such as the “Premio Penagos” from the Fundación Cultural MAPFRE; the "Antonio del Rincón" of the Diputación de Guadalajara; the international contest "Fundación Ynglada Guillot" of the Royal Catalan Academy of Sant Jordi in Barcelona; the “Fundación Gregorio Prieto” contest in Valdepeñas where he was awarded three times with the Foundation Medals; the 1st Contemporary Art Fair "Arte Sevilla"; "20 years in 20x20" at the MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) in Barcelona; finalist in the ARC SALON (Art Renewal Center) in the USA and the MODPORTRAIT 2019 where he got the First Prize in the Drawing category.

It is also worth mentioning his graphic work, among which the illustrations in books and specialized magazines stand out, such as the 1st edition of The Green Ring by Alberto Vázquez-Figueroa (Plaza & Janés) and Pájaros de Cuento by Cristóbal Zaragoza (Seuba Ediciones).

Finally, review some bibliographic notes such as the Catalog of Contemporary Iberian Art 2000 (Anuart), Dictionary of 20th Century Art in the province of C. Real, by Gianna Prodan (BAM), Dictionary of 20th Century Spanish Painters and Sculptors (Forum Artis ) and the Yearbook "Arte y Libertad XV" Free Art Gallery.
