Art as passion. Sculpture as life.
Faithful and unfaithfully figurative artistSculptor born and based in Barcelona (Spain). Degree in Fine Arts (University of Barcelona) with ERASMUS scholarship in R.U.F.A (Rome University of Fine Arts).
I make contemporary figurative sculpture, the works I produce are endowed with a social and sometimes political charge that is reflected in the theme, formalization, and message of my works.
What we produce is related to what we live. When I sculpt, model, carve or express myself in many different ways, my ideas are linked to a thought, experiences, and a way of expressing myself that through sculpture, I try to make the viewer see.
Most of the time it is not about what is portrayed in itself, but about the why, when, how, and where. Art in the 21st century is fortunate to be endowed with absolute freedom where there are no borders. Art doesn't have to be pretty, elegant, or decorative. Art can be invasive, gloomy, vulgar, revolutionary, and critical. In fact, it must be all those things to adapt to a temporary environment that cries out for it.
My works are projected to give voice, make visible, reflect, and break with the schemes of classical figurative sculpture.
